Keratin Hair Treatments

Keratin Treatment is a revolutionary hair care process that helps to restore and protect your locks. The sun, hair dyeing, and chemicals can all damage the keratin in our hair causing it to become porous and fragile.

Keratin Treatment works by infusing keratin proteins into the hair shaft and helps replenish these lost areas with new keratin, which creates a protective layer around each strand that gives the strength and protection of your locks from further damage, like everyday heat styling and chemicals. This layer of keratin also helps to reduce frizz and adds a glossy shine to hair.

Keratin treatments can last up to six months with proper care and maintenance, such as regular conditioning and the use of specialized shampoos and conditioners. This treatment can also be beneficial for those with curly hair, as it can help tame curls and provide a more uniform shape. Furthermore, keratin treatments are usually gentle enough to use on color-treated hair without causing any damage.

Relaxers Hair Treatments

Chemical relaxers are a type of hair treatment that can be used to permanently straighten the hair shaft. This is done by breaking down the bonds in the hair’s cortex, allowing them to be reshaped into a straighter form. The process involves applying a strong chemical solution to the hair, which breaks down the keratin protein structure and allows the hair to be reshaped, resulting in a softer, straighter appearance.

Chemical relaxers can be used on all types of hair, but for women with coarse, curly, or wavy hair that is difficult to manage and tends to get frizzy easily this is the best option.

The results of using a chemical relaxer often last up to six months before needing to be reapplied. Furthermore, regular maintenance is required to keep the straightened hair looking its best. This can include regular trims, deep conditioning treatments, and keeping the scalp clear of any build-up which can block the relaxing solution from properly entering the shaft. Chemical relaxers are a powerful tool for permanently straightening even the most unruly hair, offering long-lasting results with proper maintenance.

Amino Acid Hair Treatments

Amino acid treatments are another popular option for those looking to nourish their locks with nutrients. These treatments work by replenishing the hair with essential amino acids necessary for healthy growth and strength. They can also help to reduce breakage and add shine.

7 Foods for Healthy Hair

Best-Foods-for-Healthy-Hair-Growth

“Good hair is defined by hair health, not hair texture.”

Your hair is one of the first things people notice about you, and it can say a lot about your health and lifestyle. Your hair health depends on many factors, such as diet, how you style it, what shampoo and conditioner you put on it, and others. Genetics and age are other two of the biggest factors that influence your hair.

Genetics determines the basic characteristics of your hair, such as its color, texture, and thickness. Age can also affect your hair, making it thinner and less healthy over time.

While genetics and age play a role in hair health that you can’t influence, the daily decisions you make, including what you eat and how you take care of it, have a huge impact on your locks.

Food is one of the most important aspects of hair health. What you eat directly impacts the quality, growth, and overall health of your hair. To have healthy hair, you need to ensure that you’re eating a healthy diet full of useful vitamins and minerals.

Foods-with-Biotin-for-Healthy-Hair-Care

Your hair is one of the first places to show signs of deficiency in vitamins and minerals. Some of the most important nutrients for healthy hair are:

  • biotin,
  • zinc,
  • iron,
  • selenium,
  • vitamin A.

Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin that is essential for healthy hair growth. Zinc is necessary for cell division and healthy skin and hair. Iron helps carry oxygen to the scalp, promoting healthy hair growth. Selenium helps protect against free radicals, which can damage cells in the scalp. Vitamin A is necessary for sebum production, which keeps hair moisturized.

But what about foods that have it all and provide your body with the essential nutrients that are needed to grow healthy hair, let’s figure it out together.

      1. Eggs

The egg is a healthy source of protein and other nutrients that are essential for hair growth. Consuming enough protein is key for better hair growth, as hair follicles are mostly made of this nutrient. Eggs also contain biotin, which is a B-complex vitamin that is important for healthy hair. Biotin is required for the synthesis of the hair protein keratin, which is why biotin supplements are so important. Biotin helps to strengthen the hair shaft and prevents hair breakage.

       2. Salmon

The omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids found in salmon have a host of health benefits for your hair. Omega-3 triggers healthy cell production in hair follicles, which is necessary for stronger, fuller hair. Omega-6 fatty acids promote faster healing of damaged tissues by enhancing circulation and reducing inflammation. The Amino Acids in salmon also help keep your hair healthy by repairing damage and promoting new growth. So if you’re looking for healthy hair, adding salmon to your diet is a great way to achieve that goal.

        3. Nuts

Nuts are a healthy snack that provides many benefits for the hair. They are high in protein and Amino Acids, which help to strengthen hair and promote healthy growth. Nuts also contain essential fatty acids, vitamin E, and minerals like zinc and selenium, all of which help to keep hair healthy and looking its best.

4. Avocados

Avocado contains Amino Acid which is beneficial for hair growth. Moreover, avocado also has vitamin E and healthy fats that nourish the scalp and hair strands. A single avocado (about 200 grams) provides 28% of your daily vitamin E requirements. Vitamin E, like ascorbic acid, is an antioxidant that inhibits oxidative stress by eliminating free radicals. As a result, the hair becomes healthy, shiny, and strong. In addition, regular consumption of avocado can also prevent hair loss

        5. Spinach

Spinach has some impressive benefits for your hair. It is high in antioxidants, vitamins A, C, and E, iron, magnesium, and potassium. All of these nutrients are essential for healthy hair growth. A cup of spinach contains up to 20% of your daily vitamin A requirement. Spinach is also a good source of biotin, which is a water-soluble vitamin that plays an important role in hair growth. In addition to eating spinach, you can also use it as a hair rinse. Just boil a few spinach leaves in water and then strain the liquid. Massage the liquid into your scalp and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it out. This hair rinse can help to promote healthy hair growth and prevent hair loss.

          6. Carrots

It’s a well-known fact that carrots are good for your eyesight, but did you know they’re also great for your hair? Carrots are high in beta-carotene, which is converted to vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A has been discovered to influence sebum production, which is essential for hair health. Carrots are high in antioxidants, which help protect the hair from damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can cause cell damage and lead to premature aging. So, if you’re looking for a healthy snack that will also help improve the appearance of your hair, reach for a carrot!

           7. Seeds

Seeds are an important part of a healthy diet and can also play a role in hair health and growth. Some seeds, like pumpkin seeds, are high in zinc, which is necessary for healthy hair growth. Others, like chia seeds, are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which help keep hair healthy and shiny. Adding a few tablespoons of seeds to your diet each day can help keep your hair looking its best. In addition to eating seeds for hair health, you can also use them topically. Making a hair mask or treatment with seeds can help improve the condition of your scalp and hair. One simple way to do this is to grind up some seeds into a paste and then massage it into your scalp. You can leave the paste on for 20 minutes before shampooing as usual. If you’re looking for healthy hair, adding seeds to your diet is a great place to start.

tips on how women hair growth works

“Life is short, but your hair doesn’t have to be.”

Everyone dreams of having long, silky, smooth hair but does everyone know the process by which the hair growth happens? Let’s dive into the process, shall we?!

Hair growth goes through four phases: anagen, catagen, telogen and exogen. Each one of the four phases is affected by the person’s age, nutrition and overall health. To some, it may seem as if their hair is growing at a speed of light, while others feel like their growth resembles a turtle crossing a finish line at a race. Slowwww! We will first discuss the four phases and what it takes to reach a desirable growth that will benefit your hair in more ways than one.

Anagen (Active Phase)

Anagen also known as the growing phase, is one of the longest phases that lasts anywhere between 3 to 5 years. Depending on where the hair is growing on the body, the length will differ in the amount of growing time. During the anagen phase, hair follicles are pushing the hairs that continuously grow until they’re cut or reach the end of their lifespan. Close to 90 percent of the hair on your head is in the anagen phase.

Catagen (Regression Phase)

Catagen starts when the anagen phase ends and typically lasts for about 10 days or so. While this phase is working its magic, hair follicles shrink and hair growth slows down. Not all of the hairs on your head are in the catagen phase, typically only about 5 percent are at this stage at any given time.

Telogen (Resting Phase)

Telogen is when the hair follicle goes into hibernation. As your old hair is resting, new hair begins its growth phase. Typically lasting for three months, it is estimated that 10-15% of your scalp hairs remain in this phase. During this phase your hair remains dormant, not much growth happens and neither will it fall out.

Exogen (Shedding Phase)

Exogen also known as the extension of the telogen phase, hair is shed from the scalp by means of washing or brushing it. As hair falls out anywhere between 2 to 5 months, the growth of new hairs in the follicles begins.

Now that we know the process in which hair grows, let’s dig into what it takes to reach a desirable growth that will benefit your hair in more ways than one.

  • Nutrition; our bodies act as our motors. If we feed it nutritious, whole-hearted fruits, vegetables, amino acids, healthy fats, omegas and more, our bodies will thank us and we will see it in our hair, nails, skin and energy! So although a large French fry or a Big Mac may sound and taste delicious, is it actually serving to benefit us? Probably not!
  • Avoiding Heat; our next recommendation to achieve silky, luxurious, healthy hair, is to stay away from curling irons and blow dryers as much as possible. When we constantly use heat, the temperature ultimately fries the hair which leads to split ends and dry and brittle hair. The damage can not only be done to the ends, but the top, all the way down takes a hit when heat is constantly applied. Allow your hair to breathe and “take a break” from the scorching heat!
  • Trim Regularly; many women truly despise getting their hair trimmed or cut for the fear of their hair being too short; although, the key to constantly making sure your hair remains long and healthy is to get regular trims. By avoiding the shears, you have a bigger chance of allowing any or all split ends to work their way up the hair shaft, breaking and causing uneven hair strands or thinning. When you trim regularly, you want to be able to communicate with your hairdresser as to how much is needed to cut off if you want to retain a nice length without leaving any unnecessary dead ends.
  • Eliminate Stress; Believe it or not, this factor takes a huge toll on our bodies when we are constantly worrying. If you feel as if you are stressed, a daily 10-15 minutes of yoga or meditation can help ease your mind of all the hurdles you may be going through in life.
  • Amino Acid Hair Treatments; Many people have jobs that require you to look good dressed in a suit while with a client. Dressing up to impress goes hand-in-hand with the hair to match! Women tend to spend every day straightening their hair to achieve the perfect look without the frizz added. Totally understandable!
  • Image waking up, showering and leaving your house without the added time of blow drying. That’s where an amino acid hair treatment such as AviGal Venus Amino Acid Treatment comes into great use, by adding the essential element to achieve the growth, frizz-free and healthy look! 88% of your hair is composed of keratin, a protective protein. For the body to produce keratin, the body needs 18 types of amino acids. The more amino acids given to the body, the healthier your hair will be.
  • Less Shampoo; When we constantly shampoo we think we are doing the right move by being squeaky clean but essentially we are leading to broken, dry and brittle hair. Over-shampooing removes the hair of its necessary oils that need to be hydrated to feel and look good. Some women with thin hair typically feel as if their hair gets greaser faster. If so, dry shampoo can help skip a day or two of washing your hair to retain the health and shine for a little longer before the true wash day.
  • Mask and Massage; did you know that there are many ways you can maximize at-home products that you would mostly find in your kitchen to help hydrate and lengthen your hair over time? Some of these ingredients include but are not limited to, Avocados, Eggs, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Honey and Mayonnaise. All of these can work wonders by adding moisture and shine to your hair.
